termite detection

Termiprobe® termite detection is a device which is unobtrusively inserted into the woodwork of your home.

Most termite activity cannot be seen UNTIL IT'S TOO LATE !!

Termiprobe® allows you to simply detect and monitor the activity of termites inside the woodwork and in cavities.

This provides a system which operates where it is impossible to make visual inspections.

The bait or "candy" which triggers Termiprobe® and Termitronic® is the preferred food source of termites and will last up to 2 years.

Termiprobe® can be monitored visually by simply examining the individual visible Termiprobe® units, or by "reading" the Termitronic units with an electronic monitoring system.

A Recognised Effective Solution
Mr Doug Howick-National Executive Director of the Australian Environment Pest Managers Association said to the inventor of Termiprobe...

"Congratulations on the ingenuity of your development"

Termiprobe® - Triggered Probes

In most cases, if Termiprobe® is triggered the home owner can very easily check to see if there is any termite activity, by removing the Termiprobe® and seeing if there is any visible disturbance to the "bait" or "candy" located on the end of the Termiprobe®.

When a Termiprobe® Triggered Probe is activated by termite activity, a coloured indicator display in vivid red appears... sitting flush against a neutral background so you can see it easily.

The Termiprobe® will most likely have a brown mud-like detritus adhering to it, or the candy or bait could be visibly damaged.

Termiprobe® and Termitronic® are the
first devices in the world that monitor termite
activity in the wall cavities and inside the
structural timber framework of your home, by
using the termites own need-to-feed behaviour
against them.

High Contrast

Termitronic® - Electronic Monitoring

Termitronic uses a built in electrical circuit that is highly sensitive to attack by termites, and provides an indication of this if the "Bluey" testing device does not light up when placed in contact with the probe.

If your unsure of the indication, contact a professional pest exterminator.

We have an accredited pest inspector available to answer your concerns.

Wet areas
Termites can and will build secondary nests in favourable locations that provide an environment they need to grow… and these nests are usually totally undetectable. Prominent locations for this activity are near any wet area including bathrooms, laundries, kitchens, ensuites… anywhere that water may seep or leak, continually forming a source of moisture, which allows the termites to establish themselves and flourish... ...unknown to you! The judicious placement of Termiprobes close to these locations will give you the opportunity to monitor any potential termite activity.

Placement locations
If you are unsure about initial locations for the installation of Termiprobe® and Termitronic® advice from a professional pest exterminator would be appropriate.

Inspection
You should remove and replace Termiprobes and Termitronics every 2 years, but you should also inspect Termiprobes every 3 months.

The installation of Termiprobe or Termitronic could actually identify a termite infestation!
The first indication will be a lack of resistance to the drill. If this occurs, look for signs around the drill bit and the hole for brownish mud... which indicates the presence of termites. If this occurs when installing Termiprobes or Termitronics® show these items to our pest exterminator, or your own, for a professional opinion.

Termiprobe/Termitronic® should be installed within 7 days of purchase
Do not store for an extended period as the effectiveness could be compromised. You should have a minimum of 30 Termiprobes installed in the average home… and they should be removed and visually inspected every 3 months.

Full installation Instructions
Termiprobes and Termitronics come with full installation instructions, advice and documentation covering maintenance and regular inspections, etc.

Limitations
Termiprobe/Termitronic® is not an eradicator or destroyer or killer or a barrier to termites, but a reasonably priced adjunct to conventional termite treatments, as a visual indicator only, and is not a replacement or alternative for any existing termite system already installed or to be installed.

Environmentally friendly
Termiprobe/Termitronic® termite prevention in no way damages or pollutes the environs of your home or the wider natural environment - either in-ground or in the atmosphere. Termiprobe/Termitronic® does not contain any poisons, toxins, or damaging chemicals of any kind.
